250 million euros to be invested in improving Bulgaria's tourism sector in the next five years

In order to maintain its appeal to foreign tourists, Bulgaria will invest 250 million euros in the tourist sector within the next five years.
Tourist receipts in Bulgaria are expected to total 6 billion Leva by 2013, the State Agency for Tourism revealed at a presentation of the new National Strategy for Development in Tourism.
The aim is to increase revenue by continuing to attract foreign visitors and promoting a wider range of services, according to national television.
In order to maintain its appeal to foreign tourists, Bulgaria will invest 250 million euros in the tourist sector within the next five years. The resources will come from EU structural funds. Ms Anelia Krushkova, the chairperson of the State Agency for Tourism, said that the strategy is needed in order to accrue future resources.
